Wedding planning is stressful right?! There is so much to consider: timelines (when should I book?), payments (when are payments due?), should I DIY, and maybe I’ll just have my cousin take pictures (…please don’t do that…watch the video to find out why).
I want to help make your wedding experience that best it can possibly be, especially when it comes to photography. If you haven’t download my ‘Wedding Kit: Wedding Planning with Your Photographer in Mind‘ you can get it for free by clicking the following link: http://eepurl.com/dinK6z
In the Wedding Kit, you’ll receive a sample wedding day timeline, a quick wedding day checklist (so you don’t procrastinate like I did – more on the in the video), the advantages of a first look, and more advice for newly engaged couples.
In the video, I discuss my experience wedding planning and all the things I wish I would have done differently. The big things to remember: don’t procrastinate and don’t hire friends and family for services.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that procrastinating can be bad. Especially when it’s one of the biggest day of your life, your wedding. Once you decide on a date, dive right into looking for vendors that you’d like to have for your wedding. I seriously recommend hiring a wedding coordinator to do this with you. You can tell them your vision and be sure that they will find exactly what you want and need, in the timeline you need it to be. Wedding planning is their job and trust me, you’ll still be busy making the decisions!
Don’t Hire Family or Friends for Services
What happens if you don’t like the result? What happens if they can’t make it? What happens when they get so caught up in the beauty and joy of the day that forget to snap the moment you kiss at the alter? Allow your friends and family to enjoy and celebrate your love and the day. (Even in they are professionals) It’s best to hire a professional outside your circle of friends and family.
